26 and Thriving?
My mom wrote this for me last year on my birthday. I thought about it again today now that I am a woppin 26 and couldn't help but share it.
To My Poky Little Puppy
My darling brown eyed baby With her perfect hands and toes Walks quietly and slowly With methodical quid pro quot She thinks and thinks and thinks With good reasons I suppose She’s my poky little puppy Oh how I love her so
My darling brown eyed baby Loves to sit and read her books Upside down or sideways Its worth all the time she’s took She reads and reads and reads ‘Bout fairies, kings and queens She’s my poky little puppy A magical little thing
My darling brown eyed baby Is quiet as a mouse Sometimes when she is playing I can’t hear her in the house She plays and plays and plays And never makes a sound She’s my poky little puppy Of whom I shall expound
My darling brown eyed baby Loves animals and fish And when we sit for dinner They cannot be the dish She loves and loves and loves All Gods living things My poky little puppy Would only eat her beans
My darling brown eyed baby Likes to camp and to hike She likes to get dressed up And go out for the night She thinks, reads, plays and loves This daughter I adore My poky little puppy I could not be proud of more
My darling brown eyed baby Is 25 today And so I wish her happiness And love to come and stay I pray and pray and pray Gods blessing come her way My poky little puppy Have a very happy birthday!
I win for best Mom.
