On my mind.

1: Kinfolk Dinner // You can still get your Kinfolk Dinner tickets at Kinfolkmag.com

2: This Weekend // My Best Friend since 3rd grade gets in town tonight.

3: Christmas in Utah // We are coming to Utah for Christmas break! If you want to book a session, just send me a message. I will have the exact days I am available up shortly. Roughly the 22-Jan 3 with the exceptions of Holidays.

4: Offset printing // Learning a lot, and loving it. Getting ready for Birch House has been pretty exciting. If you know any good tips for offset printing- tell me.

5: Walls by Mur // Some of mine and Blake's friends started Walls by Mur, and Kristi (one of Blake's very best friends) designed them. Its funny because Blake mentioned that I should do triangles on the wall like Kristi does. Then they launched Walls by Mur and I am hooked! I cant wait to get mine. Because I dont have to go through the hassle of trying to paint perfect lines, they are removable adhesive. Genius.

6: My Husband // He is so busy with school. Law school can be pretty rough. The other day someone asked me if I was one of "Northwestern's Law Widows". I probably am. But with an amazing husband like Blake, I get time with him. He is so good about having dinner every night with me. And we try to go to bed together every night (This often means me waiting up pretty late for him or going to bed really early so he can get up ridiculously early). But its totally working for us. I am so grateful for him.

7: Annie // Sometimes I am surprised how pretty Annie is. We get compliments on what a pretty dog she is all the time. Why am I surprised? Because Blake and I would have taken home the mangiest mutt at the shelter and some how, we took home this very, very, pretty pup.

My bodies a zombie for you.

Yesterday was probably the last day of warm we will have until next summer. I am so glad me and my sweet husband and Annie  Jo got to spend some time together outside. I am starting to feel stressed as this next month is crazy busy. Why do we get stressed about good things? They are all wonderful amazing things.

We have family or friends visiting us every weekend in November. I have a ton of shoots lined up, including a super exciting one I get to do with Kinfolk Magazine. I got a bunch of film in the mail a few days ago, and I got my teaching certificate in the mail that makes me eligible to substitute teach in Chicago. I really am so excited about that. Blake has lots of work this time of the semester, so its good I have things to keep me busy, but I miss him already. Thank goodness I have this pup to soften the blow.

*in the spirit of halloween... listen to Ryan Goslings band Dead Mans Bones- here is a fav.

Mom & sons //Bobby, Jude and Owen

Yesterday was a perfect Chicago day. We had lake Michigan in the back ground. The city scape with famous Drake Hotel just yards away and of course, wind. And to top it off, dogs. I cant tell you how many people in Chicago have dogs. This was so surprising to me at first. I mean, its a city for one. Anyways, Bobby's boys are perfect.

The famous Drake Hotel.

Owen Foster

Man, that baby is hard to crack. Her and her husband Taft, joke about how stoic he is. And its true, but when he does smile, man oh man those teeth! The most adorable little beaver teeth.

Jude Foster.

The first time I met Jude, it was at church, and he looked quite a bit like Clark Kent. Bobby said its the only way they can get him to go to church without a super hero costume on.

Bobby Foster.

I dont know a soul who wouldn't just love her. She is so real, fun, ridiculously kind and has her stuff together. She will tell you otherwise because she is also very modest. Her and Taft (her husband) are some of our favorites, maybe ever. But I know I am in good company when say that.

Jude loves Dogs. This dog loved him and his shoe right back.

Labor day with Annie: Scenes from Chicago

While Blake studied, Annie and I went on a long-leisurely-lolly-gaggin-lingering-labor-day walk. Although trying to do 'selfers' with Annie Jo wasn't working out so well, I did learn that Annie likes to look out at the water. A lot. She is a pretty introspective dog. I mean, she is half greyhound.

I promise to post more then just my dog. I just can hardly get enough. More photos from this summer travels and foundry experience coming right up! Even cooler is that I got in an Exhibit in Thailand! Cant wait to tell you about it.
