Forest of fairies.
I went to the gardens at the Art Institute for the first time the other day. I was absolutely enchanted. It felt like a secret garden, and if it was warmer, I would have stayed for hours. We did some family pictures here the other day (the Holms) and I will be posting them shorty!
Utah bound // almost.
I am coming to Utah from the 22nd to January 4th!
I really cant even wait. I cant wait for mountains, Christmas, family and friends. But mostly I am looking forward to my sweet husband getting to give his brain a break for a few weeks. I am so proud of him, and he really deserves it- semester I of Law School is rough!

On another note, I have neen trying to get this little beauty up and running for a while now. It hasnt happened mainly due to my lack of diligence. I also have decided (with the advice of a friend) to convert it to use AAA batteries since dealing with the old ones is a bigger pain (Believe it or not). So I will pretend to be an electrician (If i fail, Blake will probably figure it out) so I can finally use the instant film I have had sitting on my desk.
Emily Davis: Maternity
Emily and I talked about doing some maternity shots while she was here in Chicago. But we really wanted some natural ones. One of my favorite movies for Christmas time is The Family Stone. Without ruining the movie, I will tell you there is a maternity picture of the mother. It is so beautiful and natural, and looks like it was as easy as breathing to take. Thats what I loved. A photograph that shows the woman at that time in her life, participating in what I believe a sacred and beautiful thing; the act of bringing a child into this world. Nothing gimmicky, just Emily and her pregnancy glow. Therefore, we took a few in my apartment. The one with my dog, just kind of happened. Here are a few of my favorites. Emily is gorgeous, no?
