WinterShminter. Your rarely short enough.
I am heading to AZ next weekend to shoot a beautiful orchard wedding. I really cannot even wait. I have new niece (Teagan) I get to meet, and I cant wait for warm beautiful spring time weather.
Lately we always have flowers in the house, either Blake brings them home, or I pick some up, but either way I feel like they help battle this winter shmuck.
Tango para piano.
For our honeymoon we went to Buenos Aires. Some say its called the Paris of South America. It was amazing in every way, and I will cherish that city. Best steak, beautiful architecture, rich in history, and the countryside, oh the countryside. I clearly recall my new husband being the only human I really spoke to the entire time on the account of me knowing 10 phrases in spanish (at the most, including Hola), and him being fluent.
If you know Blake, you know he loves talking to people. If you really know Blake, you know he likes talking to people in spanish even more.
Anyways, Buenos Aires is famous for the Tango, which is why we chose this art work/ old sheet music. Which by the way, Buenos Aires has the best antique stores, and of course my favorite was this old antique camera store where I bought one of my favorite box cameras- Argentine original Siena.
So we got this sheet music to frame as our souvenir (which I think are overrated unless you get one or two things that you will actually use, because otherwise I think photographs best). Well, holding myself to this 'I-only-buy-souvenirs-I-will-use' idea, I finally got us a frame for it.
I am really choosy about my frames. Which as you can see leads me to using tacks in the mean time.
Heres to target gift cards we still have from our wedding.
My friend Rachel // Part II
Rachel is my new friend here in Chicago. I asked her if I could take pictures of her in her adorable home. Rachel is a pretty adorable homemaker if I must say so myself, she would never say so, which makes you love her all the more. Before I came over she was making some bread to go into the oven. I asked if she would wait until I got there so I could take a few pictures of it. We plan to do another shoot with the finished product.
Here is to Rachel.
I love the mail: Artifact Uprising
I am pretty much in love with Artifact Uprising and every single one of their products. I really am not the best with words, but I love their simplicity, their uncoated papers, and non-glossy covers. Today I had the best package come with my calendar printed by them. As I mentioned before, they have a great story behind their wood and I suggest you check it out on their website!
I am going to start adding books in with photo sessions and I am so excited to use these guys.
