Cabs with puppy
Public transit with this little pup is a new experience, as of public transit wasn't enough of one. 80% of cab drivers driving techniques (if you can call them that) make me sick. Literally. It's the stop and speed up to slam on brakes kind of driving. Then the turning ten times to skip waiting for lights. I really have been getting car sick. Not sure how Annie survives. But she does.
She also refuses to go number two anywhere but in the middle of the street. Not in the gutter, not in the shoulder but directly in the middle of the road. Then I get to dodge traffic to try to be a good citizen and clean it up.
Disclaimer: that is not a joke, but my life.
The best day of my life...
Was also the most important day of my life. Thats pretty great, and I know its said a lot. And I really hope everyone who says their wedding day was the best day of their life means it like I mean it. Because I like to think everyone deserves a love that is worth celebrating, and committing to forever it.
I cant wait to post more wedding photos, and I almost posted a ton more, but this one stands alone to me. It looks exactly how it felt.
Thank you Kate Osborne for all your beautiful photos.
Also I got to be in a shoot that Kate shot for Sarah's amazing flowers. They got featured on a wedding blog see here on Kate's blog! Kind of fun!
Here is one of my favorites from that shoot.
Thailand Snippet
Going through my Thailand pictures, and I saw this and remembered how I loved this moment. We were walking up on to a see one of the hundreds of temples in Thailand, and there were these dancers, and amongst them this little sweet girl. I picture what it must have been like prior to coming to the temple for her that day. Possibly, she didn't want to go, because I know if I was her age, I probably would have been wanting to do plenty of other things. Or maybe she did want to go, but got really bored after the first 30 min. Either way I love it, she took me out of where I was, and made me think, kids are kids, no matter where they are in the world.
Annie jo
We just adopted Annie from a shelter in Chicago called PAWS. They are a no kill shelter, and I have never seen a shelter so professionally run. They do make you jump through some hoops to make sure that their dogs are going to a household that is a good fit for the pup.
Annie was her name when we met her, and we decided to add in the Jo because apparently she is my name sake. As will be my first daughter. Not weird, I promise.
Annie has the best temperament I have ever seen in a puppy, she is so relaxed and sweet. She doesn't chew on things and she is so obedient. She has spent most of her life in a pound or shelter, so this really is her personality.
The vet thinks she is a black lab and grey hound mix.
We couldn't feel luckier.
